STATE GAMES 2021 -2022

  Lee Beattie & Stacey Collier, GV State Ladies Pairs Champions 

State games have been played over the last Month with some great results for our Club.

Over 60’s Men’s Singles saw Kevin Cox  win his early games and make it into the Quarter Final, then with another win into Semi Finals which he lost 19-21 to Jim Oliver of Shepp Park. The eventual winner of the competition was Joe Greco from Kyabram.

Over 60’s Women’s Pairs saw Marilyn Cox and Janis Delmenico win through to the semi finals.  They played Sue Tyson & Marg Thorne from Shepp Park and after 15 ends it was a draw.  An extra end had to be played and Marg & Sue won by 1 shot.  They went on to win the Grand Final.

Over 60’s Men’s Pairs saw Allan Hueston & Peter Naughton (Euroa BC) win their way through to the Grand Final but unfortunately the Shepp Golf team were the winners.

State Ladies Singles saw Lee Beattie win her way through to Semi Final losing in a very close match against Sue Tyson of Shepp Park.  Sue went on to win the Grand Final.

State Ladies & Men’s Pairs were played with Kevin Cox & Shane McIntosh making it into the Quarter finals and losing to Shepp Golf.  Janis Delmenico & Marilyn Cox  once again played against Sue Tyson & Marg Thorne and lost by a narrow margin.  Lee Beattie & Stacey Collier made it through to Grand Final and played against Cathy Dudley & Sandra Wallace from Shepp Park. Lee & Stacey won a great game and are the Goulburn Valley Ladies Open Pairs for 2021.  They will represent the GV in the Goulburn Murray final held later in the New Year.
